[27.2.13] Convert problems into opportunities
Think different- Perception VS reality
Problem VS Opportunities
Xtra sharing (keep reading fun bits below!)
-6.9 million people in Singapore? Many may think of it as shocking problem but businessmen would see it as an opportunity to expand their business.- Both A & B have families. A has F.A.S. while B has a comfortable life (all the money).
A may succeed while B may crumple because of the way they were brought up
A matter of Perception
Perceived similarityPerceived difference
Most people see what they want to, at least what they expect to.
Different points of view
Is the glass half full or half empty?
Ans: Technically the glass is always full.
This all matters on your perception
Optimist: "The glass is half-full."
Pessimist: "The glass is half-empty."
Realist: "Thats a glass alright."
Idealist: "One day, cold-fusion from the glass of water will provide unlimited energy and end war."
Capitalist: "If I bottled this and give it a New Age sounding name, I could make a fortune."
Communist: "This drink belongs to all of us in equal measure."
Conspiracist: "The government is fluoridating the water for mind-control purposes."
Sexist: "The glass is not going to refill itself, honeybun…"
Nihilist: "The glass does not exist neither do I."
Opportunist: "Theres a T-shirt here somewhere."
"Most people see what they want to or at least what they expect to." -Martha Grimes

Your perception is not always the reality
"There is no reality, only perception."What does this phrase mean? Put your views in the comments below
"Reality is purely a perception of the individual mind. It follows, that since no two minds are alike, no two perceptions of reality are alike. It further follows, that what reality is to one, may seem complete madness to someone else." -Yefim Novikov
Buying a laptop
-Do you see the specifications or Price?
Buying in supermarket
Either it may be from soft drinks to Diapers to Brands
-Why did you perceive a brand as a superior brand?
Problems into Opportunities?
The chinese word, 危机 (pronounced wéi jī) is made up of two words, "danger" and "opportunity".
Now… good job for reading until here so far, here, go and relax… --->

Homework
1) Innovation makes everything better like how Dyson made the vacuum cleaner more efficient. It could make that small apartment look big if he opened all the cupboards and the doors of the kitchen.
2) Cloth and plastic. They make synthetic fibre that is used to make bulletproof vests.
3) Being simple is good as people can understand simple things better.
